Tino Izzo known for his producer work with such artists as Celine Dion, Garou, Roch Voisine, Jacynthe… and long time manager Bob Telaro who has also handled business affairs for numerous established artists, labels and producers such as Alain Caron, La Bottine Souriante, UZEB, Gino Vanelli, Richard Rainey… as well as heading one of Canada`s premier Electronica label Beat Buzz Records have made the decision to unite in a joint venture as a result of twenty years of ongoing discussions.

Tab Records is extremely excited about the vibrant music scene in Montreal today. We have seen just in the last few years, bands like Simple Plan, Arcade Fire, The New Cities, Mission District, The Deers… emerge and head out for International acclaim. The quality of artists you can catch at any small club in Montreal today is outstanding and in our view, unique to the cultural backdrop only available to this part of the world. Tab Records will be there to develop and surround this new talent with an outstanding team of young aggressive, future top industry personnel that understand the new reality. tab will concentrate its efforts on welcoming this “new order” and positioning itself to be a leader for the future.

Growing up in Montreal in the 70s as a musician I was always in complete awe when looking at the accomplishments of our neighborhood Aquarius Records, with their April Wine, Corey Hart and Sass Jordans… it was absolutely an exciting time in Montreal.

Canadian Producer, Songwriter, Guitarist TINO IZZO has over the last 15 years, produced and/or written a string of number 1 Hits, as well as several gold and platinum albums. Tino has most recently composed “A World To Believe In” on CELINE DION’s latest CD ¨TAKING CHANCES¨ and has produced for Celine’s CD,¨D’Elles¨ as well as Canadians, Jacynthe, Roch Voisine, Garou… French star SAYA… Additionally, recorded six critically acclaimed instrumental albums.

Nick Jarjour – Seven30 Entertainment
Nicholas Jarjour is the first ever winner of the CARAS Fred Sherratt Award. It is awarded for excellence in the music industry around Canada.

Described as the poster child for a new business model and a pioneering entrepreneur in the music world, Nicholas is a manager, record executive, producer, published songwriter/composer and an accomplished performer. The graduate of the Trebas Institute M.B.A (Music Buisness Program) is the first graduate in history to be asked to come back and speak at the school within two months of graduating.

David Lamothe – SOWATT

David has obtained a Masters Degree in counseling in 2001 as he was also pursuing a career as a musician, guitarist. Following the successful signing with his former band SOWATT to an International recording deal which lead him to perform in well over three hundred concerts, radio play, TV performances…He soon realized that he was the driving member that took on the management and organizational responsibilities, something he quite enjoyed.

At tab, he’ll be overseeing all strategic development aspects for the label such as; artist development, creative ideas, strategy planning and documentation.

TAB Initiative

LA TOURNÉE POUR LA VIE est une initiative des Disques Tab inc. Elle consiste en une tournée à travers les cégeps de la Province de Québec dont l’objectif principal est de sensibiliser la population collégiale face à la cause du suicide en la mobilisant dans une action concertée de solidarité envers la cause. Plus spécifiquement, la tournée fera la promotion de la déclaration AJOUTER MA VOIX de l’Association québécoise de prévention du suicide (objectif d’ajouter 50 000 voix) et se voudra une levée de fonds pour la Fondation André Dédé Fortin.
